Welcome to the Balderdash Spinning Contest Welcome to the Balderdash! If you're new, please take some time to check out the the Balderdash Ravelry forum (membership required, but it's free!), or find out what we're about. January 21, 2019 Congratulations! The finalization week is over, and the results are in! Congratulations to all of our incredible participants -- wow, what a great time! And a special thanks go out to our team captains, who did a fantastic job guiding their teams. Only one thing remains: the awarding of the "subjective" prizes. Our crack team of judges (two of them) will be nominating projects to win these prizes, so get ready to vote in the Balderdash group on Ravelry!
January 14, 2019 Hands Up, Utensils Down! That's it for the spinning week - we hope everyone had a great time! This week, our participants and captains should be finishing up their measurements and getting them into the system. Please head on over to the Yardage FAQ thread for answers (maybe) or to ask your questions. Also, please use balderdash2019 as a tag for your project (or #theBalderdash2019, for those of you on hashtag-using social media) -- if you're on a team, check your team threads for team tags. January 2, 2019 Judges! Judges? We've got some subjective prizes that will need some kind of judging to figure out who won -- prizes like "Best True Story" and "Best Tall Tale", which are awarded to projects with great stories. Right now the options on the table are: having a judges' panel do all the work of selecting the winners, having a judges' panel provide nominations for projects for which all participants will then vote, or having participants nominate and vote. We could use your help on figuring out which one you want -- please head on over to the voting thread and cast your vote for which selection process you prefer!

You may have noticed a new motto for the contest, courtesy of our own Yakityak: Spin Or Die Lying - thanks Yakityak! Also, images of the snazzy coaster design are available on the prizes page! December 9, 2018 Forming, Storming, Norming & Performing! We've turned off the dev notice and fixed a few bugs. Teams are starting to form, so if you're looking for a team to join, check out the Balderdash Ravelry forum or look at the Team List!
December 8, 2018 The site is up! While we're getting the last of the little things changed (mostly colors and graphics), please enjoy the development version of the site. You can register right now, though - when the site goes "non-dev", your account won't be affected. Join us!
